Reporting from the website cnnindonesia.com (26/6). Microsoft Indonesia President Director Haris Ismee explained that it is important for users to implement OTP or One Time Password security systems to secure their privacy data when making payments online.

If the user does not implement the security system, it will be very vulnerable to their privacy data being stolen by hackers.
"We at Microsoft are pushing to do OTP. Many of our internal sites use OTP. If it's not a bit worried, it's vulnerable," Haris told media crews at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (6/26).
"OTP is actually a technology that has long been on the market and has evolved for many years more comfortable and safe for consumers. So, in terms of security, there have certainly been many developments," he continued.
According to Microsoft, there are several types of One Time Password (OTP) such as sending code via short message (SMS) and then sending an authentication code over a telephone connection.
Actually it's not only an OTP system, because now a Quick Response (QR) Code system appears that can be used to make payments. QR codes are intended for those (users) who want to make payments not through cash but through the balance in their account.
The principle of this transaction is actually similar to the balance transfer between bank accounts. There is a transfer of funds from one account owner to another. The difference is, this transaction no longer requires the transfer account number, such as when making transactions through mobile banking and Automatic Teller Machine (ATM).
Users who want to move funds simply scan the code that belongs to the intended user.
When the code is successfully recorded, the funds transfer process is successfully carried out in accordance with the nominal transfer approved by the user.
In Indonesia, there are already several companies that provide these financial services, such as Gopay, T-Cash from Telkomsel and OVO from Visionet International which are still affiliated with the Lippo Group.
